DAN BOLAND
Dan is excited to get back into swimming and coaching. He spent three
summers
coaching at the Biltmore Beach Club from 2007 to 2009, and also coached
the
Farmingdale Aquatics swim team 10 & younger group during the 2009-2010 season.
Dan
started swimming at the age of five for the Biltmore Beach Club summer team.
In seventh grade he joined the Saint Rose CYO team and continued to compete for
that
team until he graduated from high school in 2007. Dan swam Varsity all
four years for
Massapequa High School. During his senior year, Dan finished top ten in
the 500 yard
freestyle in the County High School Championships. Dan also swam for
Farmingdale
Aquatics from his sophomore high school year through junior year of college.
Dan
attended the Fordham University Gabelli School of Business and graduated
in
May 2011 with a B. S. in Accounting. While he commuted to the Fordham
University
Bronx campus daily, he stayed active as a swimmer with the Farmingdale Aquatics
age
group team.
In September of 2011, Dan started working as an accountant at Boyce,
Hughes & Associates, a local CPA firm in Jericho. In 2014 Dan received his
Masters
degree in
Accounting from Hofstra University, and also became a CPA the same year.
Dan is American Heart Association CPR, AED, Safety and First Aid certified.
Finally, Dan is a long suffering Islanders, Jets and Mets fan, hoping that one
day
one of his favorite teams will do the impossible and become world champion!
