Sarah has been swimming with Excel for the past two years and recently stepped up
to join our coaching and teaching staff. She began swimming at age eight with the Marjorie
Post summer team, and then continued with Long Island Aquatic Club for nine years. Sarah
was on the Massapequa high school varsity team for six years and spent two summers training
with international swimmers and coaches at CAMP FLA. Sarah continued swimming through
 college setting individual school records in the
100 Yard and 200 Yard Butterfly events and
being a member of the 200 Yard Medley and
400 Yard Medley record-setting relay teams.
Sarah graduated from SUNY Buffalo State with a B. S. in Speech-Language Pathology
and a NYSDE coaching minor, and is currently working towards her Masters degree.

After college Sarah started masters swimming, achieving Top Ten National Age Group
rankings in the
200 SC Meter Butterfly individual and 200 SC Meter Freestyle relay events.
In addition to swimming, Sarah is an avid participant in sprint triathlon and Spartan races,
finishing second in her age group at her very first triathlon - the Deep Pond Sprint Triathlon
- and has successfully completed the
2017 Spartan Trifecta obstacle course race series.

Sarah has extensive experience teaching swimming to both children and adults.
She has spent years teaching Saturday morning clinics at the Hofstra University
Swim Center to children ages 5-16 to perfect their swim skills, while developing
and implementing goals specifically catered to each individual child's needs.

County & American Red Cross Lifeguard certification; DASA Harassment, Bullying
& Discrimination Prevention Intervention Certificate; NYSDE Coaching Certification.

Sarah enjoys spending endless hours playing with her dog Apollo, and also enjoys
weight-training, snowboarding, rollerblading and tackling Spartan obstacle courses.
