KIM KALLANSRUDE

Kim has been a competitive swimmer almost her entire life. She started swimming at 8 years old
and continued swimming through middle school and high school for the Jericho Jayhawks. While in
high school, she set the school record in 2010 as part of the 200 Medley Relay team (the record remains
unbroken to this day!). Kim also swam for the LI Express club team before attending SUNY New Paltz where
she swam all four years. In college Kim swam butterfly and I.M., with her best event being the 200 fly. Kim
was a major contributor to the team’s success and has some of the top times in program history including:

100 Fly - 11th fastest in school history
200 Fly - 2nd fastest in school history
100 I.M. - 10th fastest in school history
400 I.M. - 6th fastest in school history

Kim was a lifeguard and swim instructor every summer until she graduated from college, and is CPR/AED
for the Professional Rescuer certified. She currently works as an Executive Project Manager for Paycom. As
an athlete, Kim continues to push her limits with new challenges: she completed the Block Island Triathlon a
few years ago and in July 2022 swam a 10K for Swim Across America to raise money for cancer research.

After a brief swimming hiatus, Kim joined Excel in 2020 and has truly cherished every moment. She served
as a Team Challenge captain during the March and November swim meets at the Aquatic Center. Her passion
for swimming comes second only to the joy she derives from helping others achieve their goals. Swimming has
always been an extremely important part of her life and Kim is proud to have the opportunity to coach on this team!
