ALLISON ZELNICK
Allison is a returning face to Excel Swimming, being familiar with the program
since 2015.
She went to college at Stony Brook University where she was recruited to swim
and obtained
her MBA there. When the college swim program went on hiatus in 2013, she joined
the varsity
volleyball team where she learned the sport and contributed to the team as a
walk-on athlete.
Allison has notable coaching experience working with age group swimmers at
summer pools in her
youth while swimming on the Dayton Raiders Swim Club in Ohio. More recently, she
was an assistant
coach for Long Island Aquatic Club from 2017-2018 while also representing LIAC
in competition.
Since 2015 Allison has been
a USMS nationally ranked swimmer in the 50-100-200-400-800
meter Free
& 200 IM events, and a member of Excel's 200 Meter Mixed Free
Relay team ranked first in the nation!
Recently Allison returned from a sabbatical in Japan where she was learning the
language
and swimming with the
Tokyo Masters team. While there, she set two relay records with her
Japanese teammates making her an
international record holder. Allison currently works as
a surgical gloves Product Portfolio
Manager for Ansell, and continues to swim & compete.
